Sorry you have been sick. Wishing your speedy recovery.

Except genetics does not work the way they claim, at all. You don't seem to have caught up on that part of it, the rest is all bullshit psyop. Look up Bruce Lipton for basic explanations and also you could read Gilbert Ling's suppressed biology research. so not really a sciencey story unless you really took the bait from big pharmafia.

CJ, you know way too much about genetic engineering than is good for you. You might end up with oppositional genetic defiance disorder, or worse. Hope you get well soon. I have a bad bug too, but refuse to call it anything but that...so I have the Big O disorder as well.

Wow, this is so beautiful, so moving and real. Thank you.. And feel better, very very soon!!!

Great stuff. I once owned a small independent bookstore in . . . yes, Menomonie, Wisconsin. We were gradually worn down and terminally marginalized by Amazon. Too bad I can't sell CJ's book, because I'd definitely be promoting this one.

Thus confirming I can't enjoy dystopia fiction anymore.

First off, I’m sorry you’re unwell, CJ, and I hope you’re taking all of the available early treatment protocol recommendations (https://c19protocols.com/) such as zinc, vitamin D3, vitamin C, quercetin, and melatonin, plus garlic, ginger, and nigella sativa along with a povodine iodine mouthwash swish (https://palexander.substack.com/p/povidone-iodine-as-a-mouthwash-and). And of course IVM if you can get it, which I doubt.

Secondly, thank you for this delectable tidbit from “Zone 23,” which I’ve been wanting to read for ages but have been too mired in peer-reviewed papers; propaganda analysis; and documentation of totalitarianism past and present to do so.

As ever, I appreciate your prescient prognostications, and I couldn’t help but think of Vonnegut (with a touch of Kilgore Trout) as I read this—and I mean that as the highest possible compliment and not in any way to diminish the uniqueness of your satirical, rollicking humor.

I love your use of colors (or lack thereof) to set the scene of this Huxleyesque dystopian world, and it is rather coincidental that you used the term “Normals” given the ascendance of New Normal Fascists since then.

“Something about an algorithm for some retroactive conversion or something.” — I’m going to remember this excuse next time I’m late for a meeting, which will likely be never since I don’t do meetings anymore ;-)

I suffer from Oppositional Defiance Disorder and would no doubt be prescribed Zanoflaxithorinal in 2569/5282.

This could be the tagline of a Pfizer commercial:

“Because of science, baby. We have to keep taking our medication.”

And speaking of Quarantine Zones, the Washington State Board of Health is meeting today (1/12/22) in a few hours (https://sboh.wa.gov/Meetings/MeetingInformation/2022/January12Online – see the call-in instructions if anyone wants to listen in) to discuss the involuntary detention of dissidents in isolation camps and the mandatory injection of schoolchildren—or at least that’s what appeared to be on the agenda before they issued a statement about misinformation and the agenda items were subsequently clarified. Perhaps the misunderstanding was for the best as it triggered a tidal wave of public comments, including my own, which I published here:

Thanks to Mike Yeadon (https://t.me/robinmg/13847), Steve Kirsch (https://stevekirsch.substack.com/p/letter-to-the-washington-state-board/ and https://twitter.com/stkirsch/status/1480779695578750981), Clif High (https://twitter.com/clif_high/status/1480691150440648705), and hundreds of others sharing my letter, it went bonkers-viral within 12 hours of my posting it.

I have subsequently created a generic version of the letter (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/letter-to-a-governing-body) people can share and adapt for their own boards, legislators, policymakers, etc. to combat any legislation/policies about mandates, quarantining, vaxxports, and any other ludicrousness related to and purportedly justified by Almighty COVID.

I hope your readers will find these tools useful and encourage everyone to wield them to combat tyranny in their own respective states and nations.

Just a followup to let everyone know you can listen to the livestream of the Washington State Board of Health public meeting here:

https://tvw.org/video/washington-state-board-of-health-2022011033/?eventID=2022011033

They’ve already stated they won't be making decisions about isolation camps and mandatory school vaccinations, but people will still be presenting concerns related to this matter.

One of my commenters stated, “If anyone had been part of the initial advisory zoom meeting, they would KNOW that adding covid 19 vaccinations as required immunization for schools and daycares IS what they are discussing.”

It’s unclear whether they backpedaled because of the backlash or if there really was a misunderstanding that led to misinformation about the agenda items, but in any case, the people are speaking out against tyranny, and the message is getting out loud and clear.

Thanks, Margaret, for the wishes, notes, and tools. Vonnegut is one of my favorite writers, of course. I used to cross paths with him sometimes in the lobby kiosk of Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza in the mornings on my way to a temp job in the 1990s. He would be in his pajamas with a raincoat over them, buying cartons of Pall Mall cigarettes. I'll be fine, by the way. It's mid-winter, and I have a winter bug, as I have had most winters in Berlin. I look forward to the day when this is once again an unremarkable turn of events.

Yes CJ, maybe we will live to see the day when we can all just be regular old sick again…

What a delightful anecdote—it gives me goosebumps to contemplate two of my favorite satirists crossing paths “if the accident will” at the very time of my life when I was devouring Vonnegut books.

Are you aware of the new Vonnegut documentary, “Unstuck in Time” (https://vonnegutdocumentary.com/)? Not sure if it can be viewed yet, but the trailer made me tear up.

Glad this is run-of-the-mill for you, and just take good care of yourself, regardless 🤗

Oh, no! CJ's ill. It must be the omicron! Or, more properly, the moronicron.

Seriously, I hope you're on the mend already. Colds suck.

By the way, a prediction (you read it here first). The letter following omicron in the Greek alphabet is pi. Therefore, I'm expecting an early-spring rollout of the Dreaded Pi Variant. The date: March 14, of course.

Thanks for the excerpt, CJ. I read the whole book and while the dystopian future you describe is different in details from our current situation, it certainly has the same flavour. Well worth reading, although you will never see the world the same again.
