CJ, I have been seeing the parallels since the jab push here in the US also. I often joked in 2021 that I was gonna wear a yellow star every day to work. But I gave it serious consideration. I had to go for weekly testing. I saved up every one of these slips to document the forced medical procedure I had to undergo to keep my job.

In March, April, May, June, July, August, September of 2020!! I kept posting that there were safe early treatment medicines..HCQ & Zithro Ivermectin/Budesonide. My sister begged me to stop posting on Facebook. I told her "NO, I will NOT be a GOOD German". This was mass murder.

I have no words for what is going on now in Germany. Of all countries how can they possibly not spot the parallels?

Undeniable and unmistakable. Unimaginable. But it is happening.

UNFORGIVABLE.

we germans have been brainwashed into the church of the third reich. there can never be something worse or comparable or equally evil. the only problem are nazis. other than that it’s all justified because we dealt with our past and have a strong democracy.

we’ve been brought up to specifically be unable to see tyranny for what it is.

This is an interesting insight I hadn’t recognized before. Thanks

The "relativization of Holocaust" sounds suspiciously like creating a "No True Scotsman" type of argument which you describe.

And to be clear, I had a dispute with another American Stacker who asserted that Desmet's book was incorrect as totalitarianism didn't happen it was just 3/10 people here and there who were idiots following along. This same guy was banished to a tent by his own family when he got Omicron.

I've come to realize that until some people are literally herded naked into the showers, they are going to find some midwit rationale to minimize what is going on. Denial.

I would ask the people of Israel the same question!! It's called denial-it was once written it's the strongest emotion there is - supersedes all the others!

I was asking myself that too. I was born there, apprenticed as a chef there so upon observation I believe Germans to be very obedient and efficient. Rules! Follow the rules or you will get in trouble by your family, your neighbour, the cops…. There is so much bureaucracy in Germany, it’s mental. Now I live in Canada and imo Canadians are also obedient but our weakness is complacency. Canadians tend to be lazy and complacent so when this shit comes here I will be seeing MORE masks again…. I need to get out of here.

As a German I can attest to all you said, we're considered very honest and forthright - a polite way of saying extremely opinionated, critical and judgmental. But definitely - law abiding for all the reasons you stated! What shocks me however is their intelligence and how they're allowing any of this! That's what truly astounds me and the Brits are even worse even though they have one of the finest educations!! Sometimes I truly beleive it's because they're so envious of the Americans and want to emulate us.

You are right. My relatives in Germany are doctors, engineers, etc. they are completely brainwashed. The one messaged me and was like “we all have the Rona and we are isolating and vaccinated, I don’t understand!!” THIS coming from the psychiatrist. Huh, well now I know all my opinionated, intelligent, + other characteristics you mentioned are truly and fully genetic. i posted a quote from a holocaust survivor, explaining how it didn't start with camps and ovens. it started with othering, with taking away jobs, with separating and blaming.

a now former friend and colleague, an american who lives most of the year in germany, attacked me, saying me i had gone too far, no one was pushing unvaccinated people into ovens; in fact, the unvaccinated people were choosing to die- i guess of the dreaded and always fatal covid which the vaccines do such a stellar job of protecting against (not).

obviously not a bright mind, one that can't recognize patterns, make comparisons or see the collision course on which we are headed before we actually get there, by which time it's too late.

but the worst part of this was- well, there are several. i had pulled this guy's ass out of the fire more times than i care to remember over the probably 20 years we worked together- that i had not made any comments of my own, merely posted what an actual survivor said about his lived experience. i thought we were all about lived experiences these days: if a man wants to pretend he's a woman, we're all supposed to go along, call him "she" and let him use the ladies bathroom. if people want to burn down cities because a career criminal died in one of his habitual entanglements with the law, we're all supposed to look at the burnt ruins and declare that they were "mostly peaceful protests."

but if a genuine holocaust survivor says "this that is happening now reminds me of that which happened then," well no, he must be wrong. this is different. this is justified to keep us all safe.

Expand full comment

Your writing here is great! Had the same argument about lived experience with a classmate of Jewish descent. She blocked me of course and so did a few other mutual friends. I’m absolutely not sorry. These people can’t apply logic universally to save their very lives. My compassion for their condition has collapsed.

Expand full comment

thank you so much! the saddest thing is finding out that those who you thought were your friends really were nothing of the sort. not that the man i referenced about was ever a good friend; in fact i found him rather so-so at his job, hence my having to "save" him on various occasions.

still it was a shock the last time we worked together that he turned down my offer of a guest room the minute he found out that my partner and i aren't vaccinated although he did accept my gracious dinner invitation. said he could not turn down an offer of homemade hoppin' john. so much for principles! i hadn't realized that a meal of hoppin' john protected a person from covid.

that was all ok until i posted the warning from the holocaust survivor noting the comparison between then and now which was too much for him. his reaction was too much for me so i guess we're even! the irony is that he, mediocre as he is, kept his job and i, arguably the most important and longest term member of the technical staff, was ousted after 40 years for failure to get vaccinated.

yes, logic has gone out the window. jewish people blocking you? have they forgotten their own history? obviously since the holocaust museum in DC required the showing of "papers" for admission! my favorite is when people compare the wearing of seat belts to the taking of a vaccine. when they dissolve their seat belts in acid and inject the solution into their arms, maybe then they can use that analogy!

Expand full comment

Yes the callousness is a slap in the face. How odd that he would come to dinner but not stay the night. That kind of absurdity is what finally woke me up. No one is thinking straight and it shows. Why people so much smarter than me don’t see it is disconcerting. This classmate is not even a practicing Jew, she just has Jewish ancestors--I don’t know if she can even recite the genealogy. It was her pulling a grievance card on me, another privileged white woman. I don’t shy away from telling those types of cry babies that they don’t own the Holocaust because of some Jewish blood. I explain that the nazis killed epileptics too and since my child is one, I have a vested interest in not repeating history. We had already been relegated to second class citizens in the same country as Anne Frank, a story my children have learned well because that history is all around us in Amsterdam and I take my job as a mother seriously. However I was not allowed to take them to see the new movie about her life without a QR code. I bemoaned this fact very innocuously and said classmate took it upon herself to demand I remove the post. Because it’s trendy to do that shit, not because my words had any bearing on her life thousands of miles away cocooned in the safety of three jabs. That’s when I pulled out the lived experience argument and told her to piss off with her tone policing and she didn’t respond except to block me. Previously I would have been softer in my responses, but she was one of several classmates who has taken it upon themselves to demand I edit my social media so they weren’t made uncomfortable and since I was banned from real life, I had plenty of time and rage to just let loose. I don’t even miss any of them, though I do wonder how they and their children are faring healthwise from time to time.

To mandate a vaccine that stops transmission of a disease for the benefit of the community is unethical in a democracy Period. Because all vaccines carries a risk of death. You are mandating a death lottery.

To mandate a vaccine that has only an individual benefit and some known (death) and unknown risks, is criminal. It is also a death lottery, and it is murder.

These vaccines do not stop transmission or infection.

Therefore Mrs. Fauci's arguments have no more substance than air.

In “Letter to a Holocaust Denier” (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/letter-to-a-holocaust-denier), I map the 10 stages of genocide to the present implementation, and under #2, I noted how wickedly ingenious it is to reverse the symbolization:

“2) Symbolization

I find the current implementation of this stage especially fascinating. In a deviously clever maneuver, the strategists formulating this aspect of the campaign inverted the traditional symbol of identification from an imposed mark of humiliation to one the ingroup ecstatically embraced—hence my inspiration for The Yellow Star Series (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/the-yellow-star-series-memes-110). Those obeying the State’s authoritarian commandments virtue-signal their altruism with masks, while those who fail to don this sign of subservience are shamed and may even face jail time and extortionate fines.”

Now here’s my hope. If they reinvert this come October, it has a greater chance of failing because the noncompliant are less likely to comply and have a chance of fighting it en masse.

Expand full comment

It’s never going to be unwound. The more that is revealed about these dangerous shots, the angrier the vaccinated will get. Camps and forced vaccinations won’t bother them at all- they’ll revel in it. If they bought into the genocide willingly and got duped, — if they ever finally realize that—-to hell with those who held out and remain healthy. They deserve at a minimum to get poisoned like everyone else-otherwise it’s not fair!

Here in England I've never worn a mask, never been vaccinated or tested or anything else, and I've never been bothered by anyone about it. I mean I haven't been to a Supermarket / Cafe / Bar / Doctor / Hospital / Dentist / Pharmacy / Library / or any other private premises in the last 2 years, but hey!

The only options I could imagine in 2020 were to slowly go nuts kowtowing and surrounded by new normals or slowly go nuts drinking my coffee in the back yard (great wifi coverage).

I'm not proud but I really don't know what else to do, "non violent civil disobedience"? it seems like a hopeless plan. Mattias Desmet said something about waiting it out, avoiding conflict, and not complying until it all blows over as a legitimate option - that seems more like wishful thinking and a hopeless plan too.

"Many thoughtful people who listened to him felt, at long last, they had a label to put on their fellow citizens who were acting zombie-like, soulless, and compliant in response to draconian pandemic measures and all the lies they were being told."

That kinda sums up myself - and many others I'm guessing. I've never been that taken with him, he definetly has interesting things to say especially to a poorly educated lazy reader like myself(!)

I remember very clearly when the original *cough* down was announced in UK, my mind immediately went to The Road to Serfdom. That was the best parallel my ignorant poorly read self could come up with, I couldn't articulate "it" properly even to myself. I kept waiting for someone "smarter" to draw the same comparison but nobody ever did.

Then I started reading C.J. in summer 2020 and I finally had some language to describe what was happening.

I think they misunderstood what he said. He does not believe there is on big consipiracy (though he believes there smaller ones exploiting the situation), rather than one big machine where nobody is really on the helm. There are some who think they are, but they are not. I think that's why Kathryn is triggered, I think she's deep into the one big plan executed to perfection thing. I see why one could think that. But we don't really know, do we? I'm here with Desmet and C.J.: big machine which got out of control.

A simple (and careless) misunderstanding resulting from being "triggered" is completely different from a doctor of like profession (and far longer by decades) reading through Desmet's book then writing a three-part response to same.

The non-compliance Desmet talks about worked in the Third Reich. Denmark for example. It even brought SS-officers stationed there to turn against their ideology. Other countries too. It will feed, make it stronger, and cost more lifes.

This isn't Third Reich times though, a huge part of everything going on is people's lack of local connections combined with social media use and online in general - nothing like 80 or 90 years ago obviously.

The events of 2020 would have happened on a much smaller scale - if at all - 10 years ago or even 5.

People can barely remember swine flu - back then twitter wasn't mainstream it was a curiosity, facebook had only recently added a like button, phones were the size of matchboxes.

Rosa Parks wouldn't stand a chance in 2022 it requires something else entirely I think.

Next door in LA county the authorities had been making noise for some time threatening to return the mask mandate by now for indoor dining, gathering, etc. I have no way of know for sure, but my guess is that in monitoring the public mood (and social media comments) these "authorities" eventually became convinced that the rate of non-compliance to a new mask mandate just might become a bit problematic should they carry out their inane plan - and thus it was scrapped for now.

Perhaps I'm an optimist by my sense is that at this current moment in time - most people in my 55+ residential neighborhood don't give a rat's ass anymore about covid, the vaccines, masks, social distancing, or any of it - which of course only suggests the fear campaign will have to ratcheted up with something a lot more eye-catching than the LA authorities lame - "hey, we have a lot of new cases" - "so, uh, you're all going to have to wear masks again." I'd like to think people will be a bit more resistant to the next propaganda barrage, but I'm not quite willing to bet my meager Social Security check on that proposition that's for sure.
