How ironic they censor based on a symbol - a symbol that once MEANT censorship.

Getting more and more banned. You're obviously hitting the mark

Expand full comment

Are you sure about that? What exactly is "more and more banned"? You have access to CJ's booksales and paid substack numbers?

Getting pulled from a few countries on Amazon is a type of censorship, no doubt. But it's pretty mild... Now, if he couldn't get a publisher for Vol. III and was being forced to self-publish, that would be a different story. Same goes for a universal Amazon ban. But this ain't that.

Is this a case of censorship? Or "censorship"? I suspect its the latter: https://edgarlovesmary.substack.com/p/censorship-or-censorship

Just discovered a rather amusing work around for Germans to order the book:

1. Go to amazon.pl

2. Enter address located in "Niemcy" which is Germany in Polish

3. Order book for 59.77 zl which is about 12.64 Euro.

I just did this using the chancellor's address in Berlin and it was accepted.

Klaus Schwab i Olaf Scholz

Willy Brandt 1

Berlin, 10557

Niemcy

Wouldn't you love to actually SEE who these people are making such decisions, and find out WHAT FORCES are causing them to do so? It feels very much like the man behind the curtain. Pay no attention; just obey.

I suspect they are mostly young twenty-somethings who received an indoctrination rather than an education at university, but who do not know this. I doubt whether they have any inkling that they are pawns in something that is deeply sinister and far bigger than they can imagine. They may even believe that what they are doing is virtuous or for the greater good. The conspiracy is far too sophisticated for everyone to be in on it. Useful fools loom large at all levels.

I speculate they are contract workers. They probably do the job from their homes (maybe in India; could just as well be anywhere). They get a policy-set for reference, dumbed-down to explain the outcomes desired in the simplest terms possible (don't understand our philosophy, just *perform*); maybe it's embedded into the application they work from. They go to their work-from-home spot, boot their PC, sign-in to their "job", the application presents "suspect" articles, and hints for what violation is suspected and why, and they make a snap judgement, yea/nay, and it's over. The "job" application presents the next thing to adjudge, and so on till end-of-shift.

As commented above by another here, the judgement might even be entirely AI driven. Or, as I believe, human-driven judgement with AI-driven dispute resolution messaging to the client.

I suspect that Amazon doesn't want to employ a warm body for a task unless there's no cheaper way to do it. You're yelling at math with your protests. The GPT-3 algo will interpret your objection and generate the reply, observing its coded directives.

If _someone_ inside Amazon has decided you're a pest, the relationship is not principles-driven. It's purely transactional. Laws? Eff! Sue us.

And so you must.

However, the act of performing the back-and-forth, as CJ did, does serve as a notice on them, pre-suit. Some jurisdictions insist that notice to cure be given prior to starting a legal action. This is that.

But then, the burden to carry the cost of the suit attaches to CJ, _and_ he'll need to show in monetary terms the damage Amazon's unconstitutional actions have wrought (expensive to CJ). Amazon will stand on its contractual rights CJ agreed in having his work offered for sale on its platform. That'll be a hurdle. But, Amazon accepted the work for sale and _later_ decided to rescind it. They had opportunity to scrutinize the work for problems _prior_ to offering it on their platform. But they chose to take action late. A good lawyer can push 'em on this fact. The problem is, it's expensive to retain good lawyers and sue for your rights. Most people are stuck right there with little recourse. And of course Amazon knows that...all part of the "transactional" relationship. GO AWAY GNAT! #ignore

It's like a bully at the playground saying, "Oh yeah? You and what army?!"

This feeds back to the fundamental problem CJ and Fitts are discussing in the documentary of OVALmedia: to "turn the red-button green" you're going to need to build parallel structures to the ones now controlled by tyrants. You need an alternative to Amazon to sell your works on, and a market of potential customers on par to that which are shopping on Amazon. That's the real challenge. Gettr vs. Twitter, Rumble vs. YouTube. Getting there is possible, but it's expensive too, just like suing for enforcement of your rights. Both in money and in time and attention of the public.

What makes you think that people are responsible?

I think the lack of nuance (and humour) suggests you are being talked to by AI software, hence the robotic nature of the responsesto your entirely rational and fact based emails

Undeniably a possibility. The decision to ban though surely had to come from a human (no proof, of course, but that swastika is broken-up by the mask and very subtle, probably too subtle for most AI). Once made however, the CRM followup could be forwarded back to the 'bot' for processing. That would truly make the point CJ wrote about "faceless".

What we have here is, simulation of process.

Yes I came here to say the same. Just checked again as it’s where I ordered the book in the first place. Still available. So that’s good news! And the delivery time has shortened considerably over the past few months. Hooray!

I had an experience but not nearly as substantial but reminiscent of the mindset nowadays and by these mega companies. I attempted to sell a very warm, newly silk lined muscrat fur coat, prob about 30-40 years old but in Excellent condition, on Facebook Marketplace. I had worn it for several years and really liked it, but needed the space in my closet. Marketplace wouldn’t allow me to sell it. I never got a real reason why. I appealed it but never got a reply. I’m going to guess the denial was based on someone had killed an animal 30-40 years ago (and used the fur to keep someone warm)! What an awful, dreadful thing to have done!!!!! After all, Muscrats are as important as humans! I guessed it was some young person who had made the decision, but was likely company policy too. What a crazy way of seeing things I thought. Now, I see that the indoctrination of younger generations has been occurring for years & planned for what is happening today. Next, humans eating bugs as their main course after they reduce farmland 30%, and who knows what else is to come from these Satanic rulers!!!

That is some crazy shit and I’m a vegan!

Definitely not. Veganism is a decision that people should come to on their own accord. It should never be forced upon someone.

We should all boycott Amazon. Bought your book from Waterstones(Wales). Those who ban books make the book more valuable to free thinking individuals. As a student we boycotted Barclays Bank for its dealing in South Africa and it worked. We need a legal hero to take this to court and let’s make a stand against Amazon by withdrawing our purchasing power. Each of us needs to change if we want change and seek justice.

You write:

I don’t know how to fight this, exactly … not my book ban, the larger phenomenon. It probably has to start with mainstream journalists and lawyers taking on these global corporations.

Not sure why people are so beholden to Amazon (other than extreme selfishness) if my life were dependent upon it I would never support them. If people truly wanted change they would do the same.

I have never bought anything from Amazon. I have looked at books on Amazon, read excerpts, read comments, read the descriptions, and wished I could have some of those books, but I have never bought anything from Amazon. I don't believe in Amazon, except for the forest and the river.

How ironic - this just came through (email) from Steve Bannon's web site:

America’s Marketplace

Americans are discovering that if we want to change this nation, we have to change the way the marketplace works. That change starts with you, with your local communities, and with your wallet. Be deliberate with your dollars and reject the “woke” corporations. Imagine a world in which every single dollar you spend could go towards companies that share your values for life, liberty, and patriotism. Now with the PublicSq. app, you can.

PublicSq. is an app and website that connects freedom-loving Americans to the community and companies that share their values. Engage in a nationwide platform with the largest directory of patriotic businesses and consumers all while accessing exclusive savings at businesses that see the world the way you do. The Marketplace is free to join for consumers and business owners alike.

To get started and shop your values, download the PublicSq. app from the App Store or Google Play, or Click here!

That sounds like a good way to track people doesn't it?
