If you have comments like this (which I received via email approximately 2 minutes after publishing this column) ... "After all the Progressive 💩 you've been through, you are still a left-winger. Unbelievable. This why I never will pay for a subscription nor forward your emails to anyone. I only read to prove to myself that some people are beyond saving, beyond reality. US results show an overwhelming majority voting for Trump both electoral college and popular vote. Young people and minorities included. Scales have fallen from eyes. Clutch your pearls and hit the fainting couch. America will be much better with Trump." ... please put them in these BTL replies, rather than sending them to me via email. I am not sure whether Substack permits poo emojis, but, if not, I trust you can convey the same sentiments in some other way. Many thanks in advance!

Seriously, please use the BTL replies for comments, not email. Also, if you are about to post a comment like this (sent via email) ... "You got a better idea? Of the choices at present it's pretty obvious which side is more like-minded. Why would you use your podium to denigrate that? You have zero allies on the left. I don't get it." ... It is not my job to blow smoke up people's asses or wave anyone's flag, or be loyal to any "allies." I'm not on a "side." I am old, a time-traveler from another world where writers tried to speak to a general audience regardless of their individual political persuasions. Also, please stop with the emails. My in-box is already nuts.

Jim in Alaska. My thoughts too. Hilarious. Must be a lot of really angry women out there lol. I was born in 1950 and grew up during the so called feminist movement during the 60's and on. Perhaps it will enjoy a revival.

But what are they looking for at this point? Why, what, and who are they supposed to be angry with? I'm sure they'll find a leader willing to take up the torch. ( obviously, preferably a political one.) If I was a young man I'd run for the hills!

Same on Airstrip One. Starmer achieved a 'landslide' by being elected by 20% of the electorate and fewer votes than Corbyn got when he lost. All that changed was (a) more people stayed at home and said 'a pox on both your houses' and (b) Sunak's government deliberately acted so badly that the Fabian half of the Uniparty would predictably be a shoo-in. And the puppetmasters chortle with laughter.

So discounting the Stein vote is that 14% of the electorate that abstained, were too stoned, fat or forgot, were diminioned, or heavily vaccinated and boosted? Those of the 14% still breathing abetted by the contingent who were always disinterested in the pantomime likely means as many as 1 in 3 has had it with this charade. Could well turn out nice

Someone I read recently said that they preferred the Left because their was nothing left hidden in that agenda, where as the Right leaves one uncertain as to exactly how they mean to be mean to " the people" whilst they starve and bugger them.

Another author mentioned that" the people " always give preference to certainty, and certainty is only available to those that believe something or someone because "knowings" are generally not consent to y'all.

Physical pain seems like a good indicator of knowing something... But finding the cause of that pain beyond one's own foolish actions can be quite challenging and best left to who " the people" believe to be right.

It blows me away that no-one very questions that in all elections all parties always manipulate, strongly encourage, guilt-trip or shame people to vote. Could it be because they look like the total corrupt selfish idiots they are if only 20% vote and 80% show them the middle finger? I agree but I think a better option is to spoil your ballot. If a larger number spoiled their ballot than voted for a candidate it would render the "winning" candidate illegitimate and send a clear signal to those in power that we do not want their system. I would also approve a change in voting law that if the winning candidate was "none of the above" then the election would have to be held again with all new candidates.

I re-upped my subscription to you to support your legal battle. I think you’re very smart and I’ve learned much from you.

But I so very often disagree.

The American people rejecting the managerial regime is a necessary first step. Yes, Trump is 85% with the elite program of imperial hegemony and their perfidious money grab. Guilty as charged.

But how do you think power works? What mechanism do you think exists against leviathan? This is what it looks like, this is what we are as humans, and the fact that a nair do well, bloviating comedian has thumbed his nose at them, and won, is altogether seminal. This and what’s about to happen in Germany is the sign of hope. This is democracy as rule by the people, defeating democracy as rule by institutions. Please this is a victory.

Unless you are are in Trump's inner circle and know his true motives, you are high on hopium. I just listened to Colonel Douglas MacGregor say that every person under consideration for heading the Defense Dept is "business as usual." If you think Elon is on team freedom, you are basing that on a very very short history - and if we are being honest, yes, Twitter is much better than it was, but the head of twitter, a swamp creature Linda Yaccarino, openly admitted to visibility filtering. They are still ostensibly gatekeepers. Musk is part of the swamp. People like you seem to quickly forget this because he became part of your tribe.

Ultimately, time will tell, but don't rail on Hopkins for urging caution. Blind allegiance gets us into a lot of trouble, and Trump got absolutely rolled by the permanent state the first time around.

“… I steadfastly maintain that it is not the president, the Congress, and the Supreme Court that run the federal government. Instead, it is the national-security branch of the federal government — i.e., the Pentagon, the CIA, and the NSA. This is a notion that I would say most Americans simply do not want to confront because it is so discomforting.

In other words, the quaint notion is that the United States is a civilian-run government in which the military is subordinate to the civilian control. The truth is that once the federal government was converted from a limited-government republic to a national-security state in the late 1940s, the national-security establishment became in charge of the federal government, just like it is in countries like Egypt and Pakistan.”

I live in a “blue” state and personally don’t know anyone who voted for Harris. The low IQ people in public that bluster their support of Harris was an embarrassment and were politely tolerated. People who supported Harris hid their support, not because they were afraid, but because they were embarrassed. Putting aside their emotionally retarded hatred for Trump, they couldn’t support their reason why if their life depended on it. If their support was about blood sacrifice, well then that said more about them than it did about Trump. Speaking of low IQ, this topic is no longer under federal jurisdiction so their angst was ignorantly misplaced.

He will never be able to make it right for the families of the dead and injured, but at the very least, he should have accepted responsibility for his decisions and acknowledged it with sincere apology for his part in the depopulation agenda.

Trump, the savvy businessman, allowed Fauci to make the insane decision to "lockdown" the country, closing thousands of small businesses that will never return.

The propaganda here in the States dominates the minds of all. There is no solution to a preplanned event. Just sit back, watch the show, and avoid getting emotionally involved. Continue doing what you do and stop buying hopeium peddled by the CIA's corporate media, which extends into the vastness of the internet. Stop participating in this governmental crime that the governmental crime lords create. Good luck to all. Hunker down and use your voice for freedom!

Excellent Post and great description of the New/Old Monster of the what was Untied States of America.

Among all the thoughts from the Right and the Left, one again occurs to me that no one else probably ever thinks about.

Reportedly, the Harris campaign raked in over a billion dollars (yes, that's with a "B") in campaign contributions, and still ended up $20M in debt by Election Day. The Trump campaign pulled in a relatively more modest $380M or so, and spent most but not all of it,

So together, roughly $1.4 billion was spent promoting these two mediocrities. It makes my heart sink to think about all the good things that could have been done with that huge (y-u-g-e!) $1.4 billion; all the help that some truly desperate people could have gotten, etc. And here we are leaving aside the zillions more that were spent by all the other politicians running for office. What a waste.

Of all the money I've sent to various worthy causes over the years (including yours, CJ), I have always felt that every dollar sent to a politician's political campaign is just wasted money. Not only is it failing to help anyone who really needs it, it is pissing into the wind in its own right. I have only broken that rule for one politician in my entire adult life (and I am retired now, so that is a LONG time), and in retrospect, even that one time was likely a naive hope.
