One of my readers flew in from Scotland for the trial, only to find out that the Court postponed it. If you also traveled to Berlin just for the trial and want to get a beer tomorrow evening, get in touch. It won't be as entertaining as court, but it's all I've got to offer.

My initial thought was that this tactic was precisely aimed at making your supporters who would attend from out of town/country spend money and time on your behalf for a ruse. Cat plays with mouse, and mouse's friends. All is not lost, however. A beer with CJ sounds like great fun! Just keep an eye out for who's standing in the pub corners 😎

I stopped caring who was watching me a long time ago, but, yes, if anyone is a fugitive, or otherwise concerned about being surveilled, they might want to give that beer a miss ... or wear a good disguise.

"Misinformation " and "Disinformation" are CIA composed fiction. They do not exist. Those words only refer to somebody else's opinion. They must be stricken from the English language

Expand full comment

The CIA is good at that, they came up with “conspiracy theory” to smear anyone who dared think it was the behind the murder of JFK.

Expand full comment

Exactly! That phrase short-circuits any rational discussion of actual evidence by putting label on that dialogue, as if poison. It is profoundly dishonest on the part of its govt and media practitioners, and needs to be called out every time. Then there are t he "fellow travelers" who meekly accept what they are told and fall into a secondary category, like shadow of the former.

Like "conspiracy theory," and, more recently, "fact checkers;" "debunked by experts;" "hate speech;" "extremist;" etc., etc., etc. Just call it the "shut up" word lexicon.

Sadly the numerous repeated words and phrases to short circuit thinking are extremely effective. Particularly it seems for the educated. Not sure why that is the case. Perhaps they are more susceptible to group think. Apparently this was the case in Nazi Germany as well

I think it boils down to fear. Some folks and we all seem to know some, are afraid of having their world view disrupted, and won't "go there." But some of us are drawn to follow political truth no matter where it goes, and politics is in charge of nearly everything in our world, war and peace, economic matters, ecological care or destruction, etc.

What? It's not normal for an assassin to be assassinated?

This is critical. It can’t be emphasized too much. Thanks, Emma.

The terms were used long before the CIA was the OSS. Misinformation, as a term of art in religious literature, is at least 500 years old.

Expand full comment

In our time it is no longer a "term of art". It is a term of propaganda

Expand full comment

What is religious literature, then? Only for wrapping fish heads in or something? The war of men with disparate ideas, who wish to submit others to their will, have always made use of falsehoods and claims of falsehoods made by others. It is as ancient as humankind.

Expand full comment

I think you might be referring to religious heresy, which is quite interesting to study, as it often closely resembles religious truth. It's the way effective lying seems to work

One man's principle is another man's heresy.

Except of course when it's a universal Ecumenical Council doing the debating and deciding and they were all people who've faced torture, prison, exile, death for their beliefs (ie Nicaea 325)

Expand full comment

My point is that those who wish to lord over others by compelling obedience to their ideas, to submit them to their will, have always used falsehood and claims of falsehood since the beginning of time, certainly since recorded history. They may believe their claims to be true and infallible. Indeed, they usually do. But there is nothing voluntary in it -- they do not say that one may come to one's own conclusion. One must be compelled and any means is useful to these inveterate ideational predators.

Expand full comment

Those who cannot convince, compel.

Expand full comment

Then you would like Romans through Philemon, where the Apostle Paul reveals the grace offered to man the past 2K years. God is not compelling anyone under the law, but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish but that all should come unto repentance (change of mind). The law of commandments in place previously since it was dispensed to Moses was in place and condemned man. Grace is freely offered and makes one righteous by the righteousness of Christ. No works, all grace through faith alone.

But the CIA via their media infil-traitors has taken it to astronomical levels of use.

"No, the impression I get is that the German authorities are proud of what they are doing, and want everyone to know it. "

Of course the German authorities are proud of what they are doing and want it to be as public as possible, the better to terrorize dissenters into silence, lest something likewise befall them.

In a totally lawful and rule-following way, of course. /sarc/

When they stop wanting everyone to know what they're doing is when the victim commandeers the medium, and turns it against them, which is kind of what I've been trying to do, and perhaps why they've suddenly become so shy.

And you have been doing a phenomenal job. We all owe you immense debt of gratitude for being a giant thorn in their side. You could have just paid the fine. Your brilliant closing statement in your first trial was amazing and the judge’s reaction was priceless. Your courage and your insightful and biting commentary were surely the inspiration behind more journalist and publications picking up the story. Thank you 🙏

They use lawfare and defamation against us and have the chutzpah to accuse people who express their individual non-violent opinions as extremists and a threat to Our Democracy.

Thank God you have only had to spend €10,000 so far. In Canada, Tamara Lich has incurred over $100,000 to defend against charges of mischief for her role in the January 2022 Freedom Convoy protest and she is still on trial today (day 69).

Tyranny is too mild a word for what is enveloping the western world.

First - I hope the postponement turns out to be a reevaluation of the whole episode and truly ends your ordeal. Very best wishes on that front. The comment I wanted to make though, in light of this case and many others around the world, is how "other worldly" this all seems for two reasons. One is watching the authorities ratchet up every effort against any kind of free expression by citizens with the most draconian measures available to them, but the second, and for me even more disorienting, is the way so many people are either oblivious or supportive of these crackdowns. I am in a state of wonderment in being surrounded by so many people who can't seem to connect dots, or learn from history to see where we are and where we are going. People like you are making a major sacrifice to help us all maintain a real voice in the future but it takes work and also, in your case and many others, exacts a pretty heavy toll. Good luck and THANK YOU!

These days I'm more and more reminded of a quotation from Tolstoy.

"The good cannot seize power, nor retain it; to do this men must love power. And love of power is inconsistent with goodness; but quite consistent with the very opposite qualities -- pride, cunning, cruelty."

I put it thusly: power is to sociopaths what catnip is to cats.

In fact, power inevitably ends up in the hands of sociopaths, because they are precisely the people who will do *whatever* *it* *takes* to get power.

Now that's the system!"

Oh, dear. So now you're stuck in limbo waiting for them to reschedule the trial. Here's to hoping that they give up now that you're getting media attention, but at this point, who knows?

Well, Germany is not a "free" country and hasn't been for a long time. The mere fact that you can't print a swastika (for whatever reason, ironically or not) is absurd. But it's even more absurd: you can't "deny the Holocaust" (that is, you're not allowed to discuss a supposed historical event) or compare it to whatever is happening now in Gaza. You can't protest against the current population replacement, or to protest against mandatory vaccines. You can't homeschool your children. You can't be against Israel (being against Germany seems allowed, and being against Russia is mandatory), or against getting involved in the war in the Ukraine, you can't print the letter Z, or... I mean, what are you allowed to say in Germany, except perhaps "the government and the media are always right"? I'm not even sure the actual Nazis in the 1930s were that controlling. And the UK seems to be heading in the same direction or worse. (Probably worse).

Hey C J: good luck with this. And are you aware that Reiner Fuellmich has been in jail in Germany for 10 months, a true disaster for him and all the result of the powers that be coming after him. If you can, either visit or contact him. He is in need of help. Here's the info:

In an oblique way, the (quasi) victory of Julian Assange does keep hope alive. We’re with you CJ. Freedom of speech is on trial. You should have read the responses in the NYT to my criticism of Walz’s unbelievable comments about “misinformation”.

They’re so afraid of freedom.

Sorry to read that it is going on and on and on. I think you’re absolutely right in saying that our German „authorities“ are proud of what they doing to you and want everyone to know about the prosecution on this ridiculous charges. I attended your trial in January and was shocked by the primitive way the prosecutor put his arguments to the court. The judge finally wanted us to see her verdict as proof that your were wrong in your view of Germany progressing fast on the track towards totalitarianism.

Some people sometimes quote a supposedly Chinese saying: „Punish one, educate a hundred“. It’s all about deterrence.
