Why don't they charge themselves with hate crime because nothing is more hateful and despicable than arresting people for thinking.

Didn't take much did it? To reverse Europe into the 1930s but with worse fashion sense and a wider variety of crisps.

I'm quietly amused about that bloke being sort of hoist by his own petard. Expect to hear much more indignant squealing from the supposed liberal elite as they get caught in the same net. Do none of these people know anything at all about the 20th century?

For the rest of it, I'm quietly quite scared because I know quite a lot about the 20th century.

Your crime is you are educated and ask questions. The overlords hate those with independent thought(s). It is anathemic to the goal of de-education and control.

Your use of “Fat lady” makes me think of the original word scourge in the 70’s.

The decade of “male child” and “handypeople” at least gave us the satirical Governor “Neloffspring Rockeperson”

“Birthing-person-of-size” perhaps?

The good news from America is that not all hate speech is banned. Just as Germany in the 1930s condoned hate speech against Jews, here in the States today, hate speech against Trump is entirely condoned, even encouraged.

It's heartening to know that our government is so protective of our free speech, as long as we only say what they allow us to.

Thank you for this unnerving warning from the frontlines of New Normal Germany, CJ. I hope your Get-out-of-Germany Fund doesn’t become depleted by thoughtcrime legal expenses before you get a chance to use it.

It seems the propagandists’ attempt to divide-and-conquer the dissident community with the Israel-Palestine issue has wound up wreaking collateral damage in the Realm of Woke.

For those who want a primer on the latest iteration of this ancient tactic, I highly recommend Meredith Miller’s “Induction by Confusion—The Sequel” as well as her insightful conversation with Alec Zeck:

On the off chance that anyone here still hasn't bought and read The Rise of the New Normal Reich - may I thoroughly recommend it and encourage you to do so. In the spirit of its contents may I add; if it wasn't all so terrifying it would be f##king hilarious. Bravo CJ and please keep it coming.

If you fan the flames of totalitarianism, you will be burned.

.

Which translates into Latin surprisingly well:

.

Si flammas totalitarismi ventilabis, ardebis.

.

(Maybe Harvard should change their motto?)

At a loss for benign words - the appropriate ones at this juncture - so I'll wish you a heartfelt Merry Christmas because you and us all must wish each other Godspeed.

So incredulous that your precious time and attention is being squandered by these goings-on.

Will think good thoughts, send positive energy, and conjure every euphemism I can come up with to wish you well and good in the coming year.

Just as an aside because I can barely contain myself (you, by the way, are doing a stellar job of it):

I don't know how they keep their respective ideologies and playbooks straight at this point. The whole mess is so convoluted that they don't know when they're the brunt of a joke anymore. Cheers.

All this fascism/authoritarianism-in-defense-of-safety/freedom/democracy would be merely tedious if it wasn't so fucking dangerous.

Heinrich Boll is rolling over in his grave; "The Clown" is a great work of literature, with a sense of humor that sadly our Corporate Overlords totally lack. Ironically, Nazism, the ideology, is marching through the streets, but actual images of the Nazis are banned, because "They" are in the business of banning History; after all, you might get "infected" by some funny ideas if you know a bit about what preceded where we are today...

To censor "hate speech" is to eliminate free speech.

"And now they’re shocked and horrified that the fascist tactics they normalized are being used against them and the people they like. I’m pretty sure there is a famous quote by a German pastor that might be apposite here."

Scratch a liberal and you'll find a fascist. Pastor Niemoller, so often (deliberately) misquoted. It's telling that the line most often changed/eliminated is, "First they came for the Communists".

For thosev who haven't read Niemoller's (rediscovered?) prose written I think nearer the end of WWII:

“First they came for the Communists, but I was not a Communist so I did not speak out.

Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists, but I was neither, so I did not speak out.

Then they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew so I did not speak out.

And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me.” — Pastor Martin Niemoller

Can't help but see Germany as Ireland of the future. Our kindly betters are busy trying to ram the most totalitarian "hate speech" laws in the whole West down our throats at the moment.

These are laws that don't even try to define "hate", allow the police to raid your house and confiscate all electronic devices and written materials, and which place the burden of proof on the accused to prove that they were not planning to disseminate any "hate" content found in their possession.

Shark-eyed narcissists and impossibly naive lemmings appear to be running the zoo, unfortunately.

Much love from the burgeoning Irish Total State.

Look CJ I feel so much affinity with your lashing out to the new normal reich (much bigger than Germany), something I unfortunately keep doing to my own detrimental position within friends and family, I would love to offer you and your wife a hide-out 100 km west of Berlin somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Sachsen-Anhalt from January 2nd to whenever you want. Quite comfortable and lots of likeminded around, not English speaking unfortunately. I keep my fingers crossed for whatever will happen next.

The absurdity of false-pride cowardice cops hiding behind ski masks in riot gear carrying guns the public is not allowed to brandish on the same street is…not hateful? How about the individuals who make the final call to lock someone in an inhumane prison or drops cluster bombs on people, whether it’s the very lazy-dumb or the too stupid-smart variety, like what’s happening in Palestine? Again, is that not hateful? I’m still trying to process how it’s not hate to be the individuals who invest, design, manufacture or orders the cops & soldiers to use these horrific weapons to murder people. Who’s more hateful? Are any of them hateful, at all, even mildly angry? And how do you accurately measure “bad” hate? How about those who will call me antisemitic for even asking these non-hateful, polite questions, or the people screaming in pain as they are being burned alive in the name of Zionism????
