It was my good fortune to purchase your original copy . I think , living in Canada , I'll create a time capsule of all the books I have purchased over these past 5 years that are written by other thought crime people , other wise I'll be accused of reading something other than what is "allowed". That library is growing . Thank you and am horrified by what is happening in general . You are another modern day stoic in my books with your ability to stand up for truth against so many odds .
Great news CJ. I enjoyed the book the first time around, looking forward to it another time (though not thrilled that it seems less like fiction than it did previously...) Congratulations.
Nothing you could do...somebody splits an atom promising limitless energy, first thing it's used for is a bomb. It's in our DNA, I'm afraid.
I have the old version, and will buy two of the new, one for me and one for my son who is now old enough to appreciate it. And he'll most certainly appreciate it.
I’m still waiting for my pre ordered copy of Fear and Loathing in the new normal Reich, but I will pre order Zone 23 while waiting. Congrats and keep up the great work
Now you’ve gone and gotten me confused. I was all set to do the micro-publishing route like you because I want to maintain creative control and not be beholden to a publisher. There are only two publishers I’ve considered working with (well, I guess three now, if you count Arcade separately from Skyhorse), but my understanding is pretty much all publishers take the lion’s share of the profits and still make you do almost all the PR and marketing. Plus, they take any bookstore returns (automatically happens after 90 days for any unsold copies, I believe) out of your royalties, and you wind up making a pittance even if it’s a #1 bestseller.
So I am very curious to learn why you’ve recalibrated and think it’s worth returning to a traditional (even if unconventionally irreverent, and I do confess Arcade’s tagline has piqued my interest) publisher.
Novelists don't make any real money except if they're superstars like Rowling, Atwood, et al. And publishing companies have marketing and distribution power that micro-publishers do not. Skyhorse/Arcade have courage and have been publishing books the big five publishers would never consider, or have cancelled. They approached me. I couldn't turn them down.
Please read Mo Yan's Red Sorghum when you get the chance. I will be on lookout for this new edition of Zone 23 in bookstores throughout Istanbul, and presumably, by necessity, beyond.
Some good at last,...after all these ages and ages? Congratulations. I actually have a copy of the book, and although I haven't read it yet, it's in the queue.
Well, I TRIED to order it on bookshop.org, but it won't let me add the book to my cart. :-( Indiebound doesn't work either! And I try not to buy from Amazon. Is there a glitch?
An achievement..self published to published by a very reputable outfit..can't wait to read zone 23 although I'm sure it will scare the pants off me as we seem to be more and more ensnared in this world of ever increasing control
Excellent news. Congratulations CJ!
Thanks Ciarán! Please help me spread the word to anyone who still reads novels.
Absolutely. I just pre-ordered one copy for myself and two as gifts.
Wow ... thank you!

Thank you ... I'm trying.
Great news. I do own the first print but I really love Anthony's art work so...
Congratulations and congratulations, CJ! 🍾🥂

Congrats! Highly encourage anyone who hasn't read this to grab a copy. Long live the ASPs!
Dang Chang, I was hoping the 2nd bit of good news was the XittyX Reich has fallen , all your sins forgiven and all's right with the world.
Oh well, none the less, glad to see Zone 23's found a new great place to be!

Barnes & Noble appears to be working. Or maybe give Bookshop a few days. It just got loaded into the system.
Okay, will do. Thanks.
Thank You CJ
The best news of the day. CJ Congratulations!!!
