I like CJ too and I agree he’s got some balls. Especially after his recent law troubles in Germany. Yet I too disagree with him on a number of things. Without getting too complicated here, I believe the main motives for the immigration push we are seeing across the West is 1) The desire to disrupt nationalistic tendencies by atomizing the native populations; 2) The desperate scramble by the oligarchs to boost economic growth at any cost, which is sputtering to a halt. This at the most elemental level is a direct function of population, which is shrinking in the industrialized economies due to declining reproduction rates.

It is important to raise these points. I remember arguments decades ago with people who kept pointedly asking why "criminals" should have "rights" and, for some reason, could not grasp that those are not "criminal's rights", but our rights (which we would surely come to appreciate in the event of ourselves ever being accused of a crime). The deportations that followed provide the 'other side' of the population its own object of hate/fear (i.e., the 'xenophobes'). Don't misunderstand--I agree with most of the reasons you offer. Without getting too complicated here, I believe the main motives for the immigration push we are seeing across the West is 1) The desire to disrupt nationalistic tendencies by atomizing the native populations; 2) The desperate scramble by the oligarchs to boost economic growth at any cost, which is sputtering to a halt. This at the most elemental level is a direct function of population, which is shrinking in the industrialized economies due to declining reproduction rates.
I don't think "voting" has much to do with it. They seem to have largely dispensed with the need for that.
My comment was only intended to look at the issue through CJ's lens, which I also think is a clear-eyed way of viewing a lot of these things. And building on that, we could say that the self-created "crisis" of mass immigration is not being allowed to go to waste--it can be used to produce the "hate-on" that CJ seems to refer to.
Its hard to rig paper ballots. I mean, they aren't the manna from heaven solution to rigging votes, not at all. But it makes it tough. In Canada with our paper system, we saw in BC and Alberta elections, for the first time ever, all these 'absentee' ballots and calls delayed for days all the 'overseas' style ballots.
Trump has said paper only, same day only, must have valid ID. Only folk like military overseas can use 'absentee' ballots. Man, THAT would be a change. In Alberta our premier reaffirmed and strengthened paper only, no machines, period.

Banning men from women’s sports is better than the opposite. Trying to end the Ukraine war with diplomacy is better than the opposite. I could keep going.

I remember arguments decades ago with people who kept pointedly asking why "criminals" should have "rights" and, for some reason, could not grasp that those are not "criminal's rights", but our rights (which we would surely come to appreciate in the event of ourselves ever being accused of a crime). If we do not defend them for every person (including those convicted, after due process, of BEING criminals), on what basis could we expect anyone to defend them on our behalf?

Makes perfect sense. If you hold fast to certain principles and the game shifts it will appear as if you’ve changed sides. In reality I believe that there is actual cognitive impairment being inflicted on society. Fear, rage, shock and helplessness induced cognitive impairment. Polarization, black and white thinking, idealization and devaluation…minds and personalities splitting. The war machine turned on civilian populations. The mind is the battlefield. The system is getting exactly what it wants.

Didn't you pick up on the fact that the book in question was banned for its cover art NOT for its content?
This allowed a trial where every word was annotated and yet not one sentence contained INSIDE the covers of the book was mentioned, spoken or discussed. Clever, eh?
Whatever crimes CJ detailed concerning the jab coercion, enabled by "emergency powers" enacted without a shred of credible evidence were completely ignored.
The court found it much simpler to reinforce the 'NASTY' distraction politics conducted by their political overlords: and so they prosecuted over an ancient symbol that a mad man took a fancy to nearly a century ago. A symbol that has come symbolise the horrors of absolute totalitarianism. Oh! The irony!

The insanity in Canada with what is happening here in warp speed with respect to an anointed person who isn't a Cato of any sorts - has all the usual suspects that Trudeau worked with and people are falling even harder for the propaganda without questions. I think brains have really been damaged and they no longer can critically think for themselves - they are the ones that scare me . Above all, you have been consistent with your views ,holding yourself to account - what a rare admirable quality - punishable by law .

That being said, it’s highly likely the Venezuela gangs are CIA mercenary force, originally hired to help take out Hugo Chavez or Maduro, but now sitting around bored and conveniently waiting for orders to inflict chaos… so I’m ok if Trump wants to deport them. We are way past whatever nice freedoms the constitution was supposed to be, let’s not pretend.
Also, conservatives at least pretend they don’t want to disarm me while liberals hate all guns with the strength of 1,000 suns… so that alone can determine my allegiance.
But yes, both sides are bad, and really humanity in general is something to watch out for.
