Yesterday, I dropped off the flyers at Barnes & Noble and finally met the mythical manager in person. She was quite nice and is looking forward to the event, so I no longer have to worry about them suddenly discovering we’re thoughtcriminals and canceling on us and my having to create newsworthy controversy by pointing to their hypocritical section celebrating banned books. Too bad because that would have gotten more attention, but I’d rather enjoy a noncensorious evening as planned.
Great event last night in Washington, DC at the Big Board (Sept. 13).
And thank you CJ for bringing people together from many different ideologies to have a civil discussion about reality and the lack there of.
It seems like just coming together and discussing different ideas with strangers in a peaceful and respectful manner is one way to plant some seeds for the first amendment.
Free speech, free assembly, religion and free press...forever.

Hi Guys - Bon Voyage- a blue, mustang convertible for you and your cohort. Lucky You - owned a ‘66 powder blue stick shift mustang back in the day- 1969 when I was young and innocent- brings back happy memories - what could go wrong with a fabulous, blue, convertible mustang with plenty of horsepower. God speed - smiling at you.
I saw your calendar of stops on your road trip across America. I’m disappointed your one and only stop in Texas is Austin. Don’t get me wrong, Austin is worth a visit - but don’t expect to understand Texas by visiting only Austin. Houston is the fourth largest city in the U.S. and has an amazing globally diverse population. I know you have a huge amount of ground to cover between Santa Fe and Baton Rouge - but it’s worth carving out an extra day for one more Texas stop. I’ve offered to host or organize an event if you were to stop in Houston.

There used to be a nice bookstore Square Books, its near the courthouse. Might be worth a minute to visit. They has Eudora Welty hotos everywhere many years ago. Faulkners house is nearby as I recall, a museum of sorts. Quite the vibe in that town.
Enough with all of this 3-D chess. We just need some good, old-fashioned 2-D chess to use our most powerful pieces to attack the most powerful pieces of the Deep State.
Just remember that there is no car faster than a rental. Enjoy yourselves traveling this crazy ass country and stay safe.
